Privacy Policy for Naqel

This Privacy Policy explains how Naqel collects, uses, stores, and protects information when users access or use the Naqel mobile application and related services.

Naqel is operated by Ghayat for Information Technology.

1. Information We Collect

When you create or use a Naqel account, we may collect the following information:

• Your name.
• Your mobile phone number.
• Authentication credentials used to access your account.
• Information related to transportation requests submitted through the application.
• Pickup, destination, or other location descriptions that you manually select or enter.
• Information necessary to provide, manage, and support your requests.

Naqel does not currently collect GPS location data from the Naqel customer application.

Naqel does not collect credit card or electronic payment information through the application. Payments, where applicable, are handled separately from the mobile application.

2. Account Authentication and OTP

Naqel uses mobile phone numbers for account registration and authentication.

Users may authenticate using a password or a one-time password (OTP). OTP messages are generated through our server infrastructure and may be delivered through an external telecommunications or messaging service provider.

Your phone number and the information necessary to deliver the OTP may therefore be processed by the relevant service provider solely for authentication and message delivery purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Create and manage user accounts.
• Authenticate users and protect account access.
• Send OTP verification messages.
• Receive and process transportation requests.
• Manage pickup, destination, and service request information.
• Communicate with users regarding their requests.
• Provide customer and technical support.
• Maintain the security and reliability of the service.
• Prevent misuse, fraud, or unauthorized access.

4. Location Information

The Naqel customer application does not currently access or collect the device's GPS location.

Users provide pickup and destination information manually by selecting available options or entering the required information.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell users' personal information.

Information may be shared only when necessary with service providers that support the operation of Naqel, such as:

• Telecommunications or messaging providers used to deliver OTP messages.
• Server, hosting, or infrastructure providers used to operate the service.
• Service providers necessary to process and manage transportation requests.

These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services.

We may also disclose information when required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid request from an authorized governmental authority.

6. Firebase, Advertising, and Analytics

The Naqel customer application does not currently use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Authentication, or Firebase Cloud Messaging for customer account authentication.

The application does not currently display third-party advertising.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect user information against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or loss.

Information transmitted between the Naqel application and our servers is transmitted using secure network connections where applicable.

However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Naqel service, maintain the user's account, process transportation requests, meet legitimate operational requirements, and protect the security of the service.

When a valid account deletion request is completed, personal information associated with the account will be deleted or anonymized, except where limited information must be retained for legitimate legal, regulatory, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute resolution purposes.

Any information retained for such purposes will only be retained for as long as necessary for that purpose.

9. Account and Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of their Naqel account and the personal data associated with that account.

We may request reasonable information to verify that the person requesting deletion is the owner of the account before processing the request.

Once the request is verified, the account and associated personal information will be deleted or anonymized, except for information that must be retained for legitimate legal, regulatory, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute resolution purposes.

10. User Choices

Users may contact us to request information about their account, correct inaccurate information, or request deletion of their account and associated personal information.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Naqel, our services, legal requirements, or our data practices.

Any updated version will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
